- 3 ripe bananas
- 6 eggs
- 250 g butter
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 200 g white flour
- 320 g sugar
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon juice
Cut the bananas into small pieces and sprinkle the fresh lemon juice on top to keep them from drying out.
Break the chocolate into small chunks and place it in a pan, together with the butter, over low heat. Gently stir until everything melts. Then, turn off the heat and slowly pour the sugar, blending it all together. After the mix has cooled off, incorporate the eggs, one by one, stirring continuosly.
In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking soda. Afterwards, sprinkle it all over the chocolate mix.
Now it’s time to prep your tray with a small piece of butter and flour to prevent the cake from sticking. After you’ve done this, place half of the chocolate mix on the baking tray. Then, add half of the bananas. Continue with the other half of the mix and top it off with the remaining bananas and you’re set!
Bake for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees (check it by inserting a toothpick in the cake – when it’s done, the toothpick should come out clean) and enjoy!
