4 Vintage Pieces That Will Transform Your Home

Trying to give your house some character and add a glamorous vibe? Why not do it with really old pieces? Now, you might not find these at Ikea, but with a bit of patience and a lot of online searching, you can get the perfect, unique items your home has been lacking. Here are 4 suggestions that will bring instant charm:

1: The Chandelier

A beautiful, old chandelier is a glamorous and unexpected touch. While modern lighting fixtures have their charm too, nothing can make you dream of Victorian times like a stunning crystal piece hanging from the ceiling. It might take a while to track down the perfect one, but it will surely be worth it!

2: The Armchair

Besides looking fabulous, a vintage armchair is also a very comfortable space, where you can easily crash with a good book or with your favorite magazine. Just add a pretty pillow and a fluffy blanket and you’ll be dying to get home at the end of the day!

3: The Trunk

Used either as a coffee table or a night stand, a trunk is such a unique piece it can’t go unnoticed. The first place to start searching is your grandma’s attick and if that proves unlucky, flea markets are your best friends. You can easily paint it yourself to match the rest of the decor and the good news is that it doubles as storage space, too!

4: The Dishes

Maybe getting new (actually old) dishes is not the first thing that jumps to mind when it comes to redecorating, but I assure you it’s one of the best ways to bring some character to your dining table. And just imagine how exciting it’s gonna be to sip tea and eat cookies out of pretty, floral dishes in pastel colors!
