Well, let’s tackle the work wardrobe subject (especially during summer, when dealing with a massive heat wave that leaves you wanting to wear nothing more than a bathing suit)! But since you’re probably not a swimming instructor, that’s not a real option! So let’s find some other valid (and decent choices)!
1. The Black and White
White pants are an easy choice for summer and way lighter than jeans. Pair them with a black top and black heels to add a chic touch or wear them in an all white combo. Either one looks great with minimum effort!
2. Knee length shorts
Now this is challenging and comes with a set of rules, otherwise save those shorts for the beach! Here goes: make sure they’re about knee length, not shorter, always wear them with heels and add a button up on top so that you look more put together and less like you’re a tourist on vacation!
3. The White Dress
Well, it doesn’t have to be white, but I feel like it looks much crisper than other colors. Same goes here: knee lenth, not very tight, with a cute scarf and you’re set!
4. The Right Approach to Wearing Denim
I find jeans perfectly acceptable for work, especially the straight leg cut, but also the flared or the skinny in a dark blue hue. Worn with pumps and either a cute top or a button up, they’re comfy and chic!
For the summer months, the striped top + white bottom combo is one of my favorites. I believe a striped t-shirt with either a white pencil skirt or white flared pants gives a subtle vacation vibe, while being perfectly acceptable for the office!
